French lessons for children

If you'd like to develop your French, or for me to help your children with learning French, or perhaps to provide maths lessons in English, then I'm available for lessons in Aude, Languedoc Roussillon (between Quillan and Limoux) and am patient, punctual and professional.

I help children with their school work, mostly in mathematics, French and English, with students up to the age of fifteen. Several students have obtained their BEPC with the help of my lessons.

I also take care of children, of a more tender age, home educated. I teach them reading, counting, and French, their second language.

French lessons for adults

I give one on one tuition of French grammar, literature or conversation to English speakers living in Languedoc Roussillon, France, or ocassionally those on holiday here.

I offer help for translation of administrative letters, or can accompany you to appointments to help with administration or perhaps communicate with the medical authorities.

I ask for fifteen euros an hour for two hours or more in a row (twenty euros for a single hour) for any destination between Quillan and Limoux without supplementary charges. If you live further afield than the areas shown on the map below, a contribution towards fuel and time is asked for.

As shown on the map above, I offer French lessons and tuition in Limoux, Alet-les-Bains, Couiza, Antugnac, Fa, Luc-sur-Aude, Arques, Esperaza, Nebias, Rennes-les-Bains, Rennes le Chateau, Granes and Quillan.

Tutor's profile

I was born on May 20th, 1954 to a journalist and a poetess. They gave me a good understanding of my French maternal language and an enjoyment of reading and writing. At fifteen years old, I moved to Canada with my mother. This is where I became bilingual, something I developed further by going to live in Uganda, an ex British Protectorate where I spent ten years.

I returned to France in 1992 and since then have helped a range of children (both home educated and those at school) to develop their French, English (in the case of French children) and maths.
